- Nabiyah was born in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. She grew up in Brazil and eventually moved to the USA to pursue her musical and acting career.
- She is the daughter of legendary Reggae artist, James Chambers who goes by the stage name, Jimmy Cliff. In addition to being a Reggae icon, Jimmy is also an actor and is widely recognized for his appearance in the hit feature, “The Harder they come.” Jimmy played an instrumental role in his daughter becoming a musical artist after he introduced her to the world of live performances and touring when she was a young girl.

- A few months after wrapping up “School Girls or the African Mean Girls Play,” Nabiyah debut as a film actor in the hit Marvel movie, Black Panther, playing the role of Linda, associate and lover of Erick Kilmonger.
- As an actor, Nabiyah has received the Drama Desk Ensemble Award. She is currently focused on her musical projects in between her work as a theater performer.
