Almost Sufal Sampoorna is a fresh love story that hit the Marathi television screens in July 2019. It showcases the importance of Marathi culture in love and relationships. The title of the show relies on a Marathi phrase ‘Sufal Sampurna,’ which suggests the completion of a task or work with perfection. The show falls into the comedy genre and although it’s a really common love story, there are several fun twists within the plot to keep the viewer engaged.

Nachiket Deshpande, an NRI Maharashtrian boy falls in love with Sai Ketkar, whose family is strict about culture and language. As an NRI, Nachiket is not a prolific Marathi speaker. Eventually, their relationship is faced with many comical instances which land the couple in a series of evergrowing problems. We will also be able to watch the struggle of Nachiket, who is trying to seek Sai’s grandfather’s approval.

In one of the promos, we can see a notice board written in Marathi and Nachiket finds it tough to read that board. When his girlfriend Sai says that if he’s unable to read and write Marathi, then her members of the family won’t agree to their marriage. After coming to known about that, he speaks nearly seven to eight lines in Marathi without a break, which impress her family members but in last unknowingly he says the word ‘Almost.’ This strangely puts his relationship with Sai at a risk as her father is searching for a son-in-law with perfect Marathi speaking skills.

The viewers will get to see a light and fun drama which will surface between both the families. The music of this show is produced by Sameer Saptiskar and the title track was sung by Kaushik Deshpande and Shruti Bujarbaruah.

It replaced the successful-running show Aamhi Doghi for the 8 PM spot
