Introduction :
Yanis Marshall is a French dancer and choreographer. He is known for his being a finalist of Britain’s Got Talent 2014 but mainly for his viral videos of him dancing to songs by well-known artists such as Beyoncé and Ariana Grande, in high heels!

- Yanis Marshall was born on November 11, 1989, in Grasse, France.
- His mother, Nadia Marshall, is a dance teacher. It was she who introduced the young Yanis to dancing.

- Marshall started dancing when he was very young, mainly thanks to his mother, who was a dance teacher. He trained in ballet, contemporary dance, and jazz.
- The idea of adding high heel shoes to his dance routines occurred to him during one of his classes when he was 19 years old, after a pupil gave him her own shoes, asking him to perform a song from Burlesque. Everyone loved how it looked, suggesting he carry on dancing in heels. No one in the business was doing it at that time.
- Watching and loving Sheryl Murakami’s choreographies motivated him to record his classes and upload them to YouTube.
- The Frenchman started gaining supporters after performing a choreograph of Lana Del Rey’s Brite Lites. Later, in 2013, he uploaded a video of himself and friends dancing to a Spice Girls song. They never intended for it to go viral, but hours later, it was all over the Internet.
- His favorite artists are Prince, Madonna, and Janet Jackson. Yanis often feels comfortable dancing to an old song & mixing it with a new one.
- Céline Dion performed the song Ashes, for the soundtrack of the film Deadpool. They released a funny music video of Deadpool dancing in stilettos. It was there, in fact, Yanis Marshall, who was acting as a stunt double for Ryan Reynolds!
- Reynolds also shared a picture of the two of them in Deadpool costumes, calling him “an elite athlete, a hero, and an all-around hilarious person.
