It never fails to amaze me on the HGTV shows how the wives of contractors consider themselves designers because they decorate their own homes. Having a formally untrained person design/decorate your home is like having a handyman build your home – the job gets done but there are hidden problems. I WOULD NOT hand over my money to a formally untrained person, no matter what field they are in. Buyers beware!
The negative comments are immature and show jealousy and resentment. It displays your lack of maturity, your misconception of truth and knowledge, and your lack of self-worth. Perhaps you should examine your own life before demeaning others. Your misunderstanding of who she is, what she has accomplished, a better mother and wife than you have ever likely known. I think you owe her an apology. You need to grow up and attempt to show qualities of a similar ilk. Instead, you display a seriously biased opinion…a misunderstanding of who Sarah is, what an incredible family person. You might look into your own life before chastising another.
What a bunch of negative comments…design talent has mostly to do with experience! She does a great job. I find her to be beautiful and delightful, as well as talented in many areas. I love her attention to detail and her obvious love for her family.
Sarah never went to school for interior design. She just calls herself a designer. Which is a slap in the face for people who actually went to school for it.
Mrs.B must have trunks and trunks and trunks of clothes brought over to the island because in every episode of Island of Bryan she wears at least 6-7 outfits an episode, including jewelry that changes as well quite a bit. It’s ridiculous how many outfits she wears. The only thing I have seen her wear twice is a pair of white jeans. She must be very, very wealthy to have a wardrobe like hers. Frankly, it’s way too much! Too much for the average woman living on an island! Bit overboard for sure! And I am NOT the only woman who has commented about this besides me!
If you have seen her work, you should know she is indeed a talented interior decorator. One doesn’t need to be trained to accomplish beautiful design. However, in Canada, there are regulations about being identified as an interior designer.
Sarah Baeumler is annoying for sure. She is always so right and has no respect for Bryan’s budget. He is very patient. One day, they’ll go broke because of her. Her handling of Rebecca leaving was all about her. My heart went out to Rebecca as Sarah was disrespectful to Rebecca. Of course, Sarah turned it around to be all about her. Once the hotel is finished I’ll not watch their show again. I like Bryan and he is knowledgeable. She has no education in design and is a joke in that field. I like Bryan, but Sarah needs some humility for sure. Try it Darah.

Very entertaining show and well done. Think the couple interact well and demonstrate their talent and expensive tastes, Now that Renovation Island is complete we hope they continue with a similar type of shows.
Where did she go to design school?
I’ve been a fan of Brian from earlier days ‘DIY Disaster’.not only does Bryan seem very skilled and knowledgeable his sense of humour and one liners turns the dry parts of the shows more entertaining. Sarah seems to take Bryan’s jibes well (I’m wondering if they’re scripted somewhat? or his invention).
I love the show renovation island. Hope it keeps going. She is a cute lady.
