Nancy Carell was born Nancy Ellen Walls on 19th July 1966, in Cohasset, Massachusetts, where she was also raised, to parents Carol Walls (mother) and Robert Walls (father).
She has five siblings, which include her sister Tish Vivado.

Nancy attended Cohasset High School in Cohasset, Massachusetts.
Following her graduation from high school, Nancy attended Boston College in Boston, Massachusetts, where she graduated from In 1988. During her college years, Nancy was part of My Mother’s Fleabag, an improvisation acting troupe.

Following her stint on Saturday Night Live, Nancy appeared on the satire program The Daily Show as a correspondent.
