  1. So happy to find you live in my area! You’re the best Dr. Zasio. I watch hoarders because you’re on it!

  2. Dr. Zasio

You do such a great job on the show. You are the only reason I watch it. Can I get an autograph picture of you? Thanks.

  3. When Dr. Tolin is talking to the Massachusetts plumber, retired, he asks the hoarder about his drinking. “About how often do you drink, Ed”… Ed…staring straight ahead, answers, “about every 20 minutes”…this just got me. Funny, in a horrible way.

There was another moment that made me a true fan. Mark Pheffer and Matt Paxton are helping Lisa, a food hoarder with a long history of domestic abuse. Lisa reaches into what could be fermented sugared dates in a half-ball jar found in her infected fridge. Matt is shocked when Lisa eats one in front of the camera/crew. Dr. Pheffer says “let’s get the spoons”. What a moment of humor! We need it in situations like these! I hope this show never ends.

The show Hoarders is just wonderful. Helping those people who deal with this mental illness on camera, opens it up as a pretty convincing teaching tool. Getting their hovels cleaned is a blessing for most of them.

  4. I absolutely adore Dr. Zasio!!! I have been married for 36 years to a man who is a hoarder and from a family of hoarders. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and I totally understand her challenges with the individuals who have OCD and Hoarding Disorder. I love her work and how compassionate she and all of the staff members are on the show, and in life. Wonderful people!!!

  5. Dr. Zasio is a good person and she is trying to help. I love the show but I feel like some are getting ripped off. To understand how a mind works in such devastating ways?

  6. I would say she handles each situation as it needs to be because no person will handle this type of change the same ( if they did I’d worry it was fake). It has to be emotionally draining not just on her but I would think on her husband as well because he should be able to tell that something is on her mind when she is filming. So as attractive as she is, all of them have made comments earlier, she probably does come with more emotional ups and downs only due to her work and if you were not truly connected to her 100% then you would never understand how to love, live or survive with a woman like her! I think it would be a great show idea “So you think you can date a Pysch Dr.?”

I wish all the hoarders would take full advantage of the new start they have been given, unfortunately, I know from family members they see it almost as a challenge now to refill that space as quickly as possible to almost healing themselves, and they might not even know why they are doing it, or that they are doing it. It’s been strange that at times less than a month after a clean up I have gone back to find a bigger mess and we started talking and they didn’t realize it happened until the space was full.

Robin if you (or someone in the family/employee) keep up the good work, stay classy when you need to be but bring it down when you have to connect at that level and be mean if you must but you know how to get the job done! You are helping people out that in a lot of cases don’t want to help themselves!!

  7. Hi, I love watching Hoarders. Robin is so beautiful! She is kind and respectful. Did I notice a scar over her eye? Is that from getting hurt on the show?

  8. As none or very few of her hoarders stay neat and tidy after the few days of the TV show, she has a very low success rate. if she thinks she can change someone in that short space of time then she needs to go back to school to learn how it’s done.

    1. She can’t hold their hands until they are cured. That’s why they have aftercare once the show moves onto another hoarder Jay. Some if not all will never be cured unless you consider Death the ultimate problem solver for everything bad…

  9. I have been dealing with bipolar disorder since I was 19 years old. I am now 68. I desperately need help with too much stuff. I need your help your referrals for help in the Springfield, Ohio, area. Your attention would be appreciated!

    Thank you,
    Susan.

  10. Hi Robin,

I am watching Hoarders on A&E Channel. I m interested in you. I love your job as a counsellor to help people who have problems with hoarding.

I love your profile picture…I am a 56-year-old deaf single man from Canada. I know you are a married woman…your husband is lucky. I wish I had you, but I am sad and alone. I already have a bad experience with my ex-girlfriend who was a deaf lady and a bad hoarder in our mobile home trailer. She had 25 cats…I already kicked all the cats away…and then moved out from my old place.

I hired men to work on the demolition of my old house…long story. I moved into my brother’s condo and now I live with my brother, paying my share of the rent. I broke up with my ex-girlfriend (deaf lady) but I m still looking to find a new soulmate, future wife, and having children and some family life.

I don’t want to miss watching you on TV. I stayed in my house as a hoarder for 8 years, but now I follow city by-laws and keep a clean home.

    Thanks,
    Kent

  11. Dr. Zazio is remarkably patient with some of these cases being hardcore and over the top. She tries her best to help them but many are too far gone to change. People who want to change are given the opportunity by these professionals but the patients need to do all the work, especially the aftercare

  12. Hi,

I love your job, but sometimes people lose their home…it is sad, and maybe you can work together with people fixing or building houses. Sorry for my bad English.

  13. Human Kindness Rn Bsn Crrn

I think Dr.Zas is very talented, well educated, and is fantastic at her job. She is the catalyst for further TX and assisting these folks with beginning a long journey of learning, understanding, mindfulness, CBT, therapy, and ultimately a stable life and living environment. She can’t do it for them, but she can assist them in a healthy, calm, educated manner to start this very long journey. She’s wonderful!

    1. I love watching how patient and loving Dr. Zasio is with the individuals needing help on Hoarders. It’s the perfect balance of empathy, and what each one needs to hear in order to receive help. I believe everyone could benefit greatly from having a Dr. Zasio in his/her life. She’s wonderful at what she does!
