- Candy was born in Fairfax, Virginia, on October 1, 1979.
- Growing up in Agoura Hills, California, she was the only child of her family.
- She was exposed to TV world at the young age of 6, when she was cast in a Kool-Aid commercial.
- Simultaneously, she was taking classes in aerobics, various dance styles, and drama lessons.
- Olsen went on to attend the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts in LA. By the age of 16, she had signed on with a local dance corporation.
- A year later, Candy moved to New York City & joined the Joffrey Ballet School.
- She had received a full scholarship to attend the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center, and joined the New Jersey Ballet.
- By 19, she managed to join Hal Prince’s national tour of The Phantom of the Opera. She was the tango dancer.
- Some of the big productions that Olsen was fortunate enough to be a part of are the National Tour of Spamalot and Goodspeed’s Pippen, The Dream Catcher, and MOMIX.
- She is a graduate from The United Stuntmens Association – International Stunt School in Seattle.

- In 2013, Candy joined her good friend Courtney Wagner to join the reality television series Storage Wars: New York. Their team was nicknamed “C&C.”
- C&C specializes in selling vintage clothing from their own vintage pop-up store in a yellow 1997 Chevy Astro van, called the C&C Pop-up Shop.
- The pair had founded the C&C Pop-up Shop in 2012. By setting up their shop in a van (nicknamed the “Banana Van”) and passing through many markets, they have managed to keep their overhead costs low and increase their potential earnings.
- In the show, Candy is known as “the Flame” while Courtney is “the Firecracker.”
- Compared to their competitors in the show, Candy and Courtney are considered new in the game, having less experience in the trade and less money. Nevertheless, they are known for their grit and showing their aggressive side when they find something they like.
