Angel Adoree (maiden name Angel Newman) is a fashion entrepreneur as well as a worldwide selling author. She is also the wife of Dick Strawbridge, a British engineer, television presenter and environmentalist.

This is where once a month, she hosted a night called “The Angel-A Vintage Experience,” where friends and vintage fashion enthusiasts could enjoy sounds of jazz, eat delicious food, drink copious amounts of wine and try on and buy vintage clothes. The monthly event became a huge success.
- In 2006, Angel trained to become an Image Consultant at the prestigious Aston & Hayes Institute in West London.

- In 2010, she won the hearts of the Dragons and received £100,000 worth of investment from Dragons Deborah Meaden and Theo Paphitis for her business idea.

Moving Countries & Renovation Project :
- In January 2015, Angel and Dick left their home in the UK and moved to France, where they purchased a grand 19th-century Chateau in the Pays de la Loire region.
- The ‘Chateau-de-La-Motte-Husson’ has an astounding forty-five rooms within five stories & was bought at a paltry sum of £280,000! In fact, the couple had sold their two-bedroom London flat for £400,000 & funded this huge place.
- After one of the biggest renovation projects of the couple’s lifetime, The Chateau is now available for hire for vintage weddings, retreats and other special events.
- In 2016, their adventures with restoring the Chateau got turned into a three-part documentary on Channel 4 called ‘Escape to the Chateau.’

Dick, you are a marvel. You can literally design and implement anything. Even though you fuss a little, your love for Angel knows no bounds. It is so fun to watch the interaction between you two. Now for your precious children; Your baby girl is so smart and beautiful. She is so very much like her mother. Now Arthur is a pure clone of his dad. I laughed so hard at the two of them on their camping trip. When Dick told Arthur not to fart in the tent, they were like twins laughing at his joke.

I live in Canada, where everything is so new. I, myself love absolutely everything vintage and historical, so I just cannot measure how much I love the show. It is fantastically interesting and inspiring for lots like me. I admire couple’s personalities, their sense of humour, their hard work and their talent. I wish there were more people like them who would value their heritage, things old, enriched with artistry and understand the value of history and culture. Hats off to you, Dick and Angel. You deserve every grain of your popularity, its fruit and even more. Looking forward to more episodes, please.

I have watched your show from the beginning. Absolutely love it! I’ve recommended it to everyone I know. Your children are delightful and it is heartwarming to see all the things you include them in and created for them. I have also watched Escape to the Chateau DIY.
