Rachel Lugo is an English business owner, philanthropist and reality television star. She is most commonly known for her role as one of the Real Housewives of Cheshire (RHOC) since season six of the series.
Personal Life, Parents and Family Details :
- Rachel Joanne Lugo (maiden name Rachel Bamford) was born on February 19, 1975, in Cheshire, England.
- She is one of three daughters born to parents, David Bamford (father) and Janet Bamford (mother). She has an older sister named Nicola, and a twin sister named Katie Kane. Katie is afflicted with skin cancer and has appeared as a guest on the Real Housewives of Cheshire.
- She also has a half-sister named Janie from her mom’s second marriage.
- After dating for five years, Rachel married John Lugo in March of 2000. The couple went on to have five kids together: daughters Francesca (25 yrs old), Sophia (21 yrs old) and Sienna (12 yrs old); and sons William (23 yrs old) and Oliver (18 yrs old) (ages as of 2023).
- For 23 years, the Lugos had a full house with all their kids, dogs, and horses. However, John and Rachel bitterly separated in early 2020, after Rachel found out that John was cheating on her.

- According to her Facebook profile, Rachel grew up in Nether Alderley — about a five-minute drive from where she currently lives in Alderley Edge. She attended Mount Carmel School for Girls in Alderley Edge.
- Experiencing a whirlwind of emotions in a relatively short period of time, Rachel started dating John at 20 years old, and had their first child, Francesca, at 22 years old.
- She then lost her father at 28 years old, and her mother when she was 34 years old.
Philanthropy, Salary and Net Worth :
- Before becoming famous on reality TV, Rachel sold her personal items on the online auction site, Auction Angels. She sold everything from furniture to brand-name shoes, jewellery, purses, sunglasses, bathing suits and clothing.
- In business with her husband, Rachel is a director at Gatley Green Construction and Property Management. Incorporated in 2004, the company specialises in construction, renovations and refurbishments, and luxury property management.
- In 2017, Rachel joined the cast of Real Housewives of Cheshire, in its sixth season and has been on the show ever since.
- Rachel’s twin sister Katie also joined the show as a guest, and in 2018, the pair candidly shared Katie’s story of her long-term battle with skin cancer. They also revealed that their mother passed away from breast cancer.
- With the disease very close to her heart, Rachel regularly raises money for cancer charities, including Cancer Research UK, and Breast Cancer Now — the latter being the largest charity of its kind in the UK.

I went to school with the Lugo twins, met them 1st in Bollington when we were little, then again at Mount Carmel school. Always love seeing them on TV…very happy that they have done well for themselves. Wish the girls and their families all the best.
