Jonathan Michel Metzl was born in 1964 in Kansas City, Missouri. He was raised in a medically oriented family, as his father was a pediatrician and his mother was a psychoanalyst. He has three brothers, of whom two are doctors as well.
His family history is a tumultuous one. For example, Jonathan’s father, Dr. Kurt Metzl lived his early years in Austria, managed to escape to Switzerland, survived the war, and finally got a chance to move to the United States at the young age of 13.

Metzl aspired to become a psychiatrist because, as he jokingly claimed “It is a way of becoming a doctor without getting blood on your clothes”. He pursued his medical training in Missouri, then moved to California to complete it.

In 2003, Metzl released his first book “Prozac on the Couch,” which offers a broad cultural history of well-known depression treatments explaining how the Freudian gender categories influenced the understanding of this mental disorder and its linked medication.

Focusing his attention on a different psychiatric illness, Metzl wrote another highly acclaimed book, “The Protest of Psychosis,” in which he analyzed the way schizophrenia had started to be viewed as a disease of the black people, during the Civil Rights Movement in America.
Pursuing an academic career, Metzl became the Frederick B. Rentschler II Professor of Sociology and Psychiatry at the University of Vanderbilt and the Director of its Center for Medicine, Health and Society.

Metzler is just another predictable lying, intellectually dishonest supremacist participating in their “divide and conquer strategy”. Through their exponentially disproportionate influence in academia and control of the mainstream media, social media and, currently, they are puppet masters of the Obama/Biden Administration. Notwithstanding, the violence and destruction of property, including police stations, championed by social media as a political strategy during the 2020 election and during the Obama Administration to stoke racial division.
