Damn, Dara Lind is smart!
I appreciate Ms Lind’s education
Ms Lind does express herself well
Ms Lind’s discussion explanation of proof of citizenship for the US Census left me with many questions
Ms Lind stated that illegal immigrants would not reply to the US census request
I am confused by the word “illegal”
If I were illegal in Monaco or any other country I would not respond
It appears the question comes to the word “illegal” and “legal immigrant”
Also, there is the discussion about the USA legal citizens supporting paying for via present taxes for anyone who wishes to come to the USA whether legal or not
A great discussion would be to specifically provide the amount of money generated by the USA taxpayers and what is done with that money generated
Then the next discussion would be from the tax generated why do we have “legal” USA citizens who are homeless
Then a discussion of what about the “legal” USA citizens who do not want to work but receive housing, food, clothing, health care
For each group of “legal” USA citizens what is the cost of the USA tax base and how much if any is left over
If there is money left then a discussion of how we can support those who wish to live in the USA
These seem like simple discussions, simple accounting
Either we have the tax money generated or we do not
Once that is revealed then the decision would be, do we tax the USA legal citizens more to pay for those who want to live in the USA?
