- Bre Payton was born on June 8, 1992, in California. Born to parents, George and Cindy, she had four siblings: two brothers named James and Jack, and two sisters named Christina and Cheekie.

- Home-schooled through her teenage years, Bre earned her diploma from the Western Christian High School Private Satellite Program. She credited this experience with teaching her the discipline necessary to work as a freelancer and to work from home.
- Easing into the public education system, Payton spent two years at Citrus Community College in Upland, California. It is perhaps there that she began to fall in love with journalism, as she served as the features editor on the school’s bi-weekly newspaper, the Citrus College Clarion.
- In 2012, Bre moved across the country to attend Patrick Henry College in Purcellville, Virginia. She continued building her portfolio by working as a freelance writer for the World Magazine, and as the social media coordinator for Patrick Henry College during her first year.
- The summer leading into her third year, Bre began interning as a reporter for the conservative online news outlet, WatchDog.
- After having her work featured by numerous organizations, including Fox News, The Washington Post and Huffington Post, she was offered full-time employment before even finishing her degree. Although tempted, Bre declined and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in political journalism.

- Throughout the rest of her time in college, Bre continued to do freelance work for WatchDog and was again offered a job upon graduation.
- Wanting to see what else was out there, she began regularly attending networking events in Washington D.C. It was at one such event that she met the publisher at The Federalist, Ben Domenech.
- Following a meeting for coffee that turned into an impromptu interview, Bre was offered a job at the conservative news website. She began working for The Federalist in June 2015 as the reporter on culture and millennial politics.
- She co-hosted the podcast Problematic Women alongside Kelsey Harkness from The Daily Signal.
- Quickly gaining credibility in her field, Bre was also a guest speaker on several reputable news outlets, including Fox News, CNN, One America News, NPR, BBC News and MSNBC.

- In an Instagram post, there are few things Bre loves more than the perfect red lipstick.
- While interning for WatchDog, she was taking a full course-load at college. Unable to find quiet places to do her work, she would lock herself in her dorm room and post a sign on the door saying, “Do not disturb. Interview in progress.”
- In December 2018, Bre’s friend, Morgan Murtaugh, found her unconscious. She passed away the next day in a hospital, where they found out she had H1N1 flu and also meningitis.

- Bre Payton Illness / Sick : On December 27, 2018, Bre’s friend Morgan Murtaugh found her unconscious and barely breathing. She called 911 immediately and Bre was admitted to a nearby hospital. She was shifted to ICU and doctors began to treat her. After a CT scan, it was found that she was suffering from Swine flu and meningitis. She was battling the H1N1 flu for a long time.
