Her father later married Elizabeth Pine, who had also lost her husband (Richard Pine).

Elizabeth was a State Supreme Court justice who served for 25 years. She passed away on August 28, 2017, and suffered from Alzheimer’s disease and colon cancer.

She began her real career with The Associated Press in 1989 after graduation, working there for twenty years.
While she was with The Associated Press, she had taken the role of the Supreme Court reporter & National Security reporter and editor. She was also the chief Pentagon correspondent from 2009 to 2011.
She has also held the position of senior foreign affairs specialist on the White House team & has reported on U.S. policy and foreign correspondences across three administrations. Some of the countries where she was involved were Syria, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Russia, North Korea, and China.

Gearan left The Associated Press in July 2012 to join The Washington Post as a Diplomatic Correspondent. Her job allowed her to travel frequently with the U.S. secretary of state.
Over the course of 5 years, Anne traveled to over 80 countries & 6 continents, reporting on the White House, Pentagon, and the State Department.
She was promoted to political correspondent & was the lead reporter for the Hilary Clinton campaign in the 2016 presidential race.

Gearan has also regularly made appearances on television reporting on the campaign and providing political analysis on the 2016 U.S. Presidential race.

Breitbart News Network published an article claiming that Jake Sullivan, who was a top advisor to Clinton’s Presidential campaign, stated that Anne privately “professed to be a big fan” of Clinton.

That woman does not seem to have the brains she was born with. I don’t know her, I just saw her on MSNBC asking a stupid question. She is the type of woman that makes me wonder about the intelligence of some women in the news world. I am an old woman and she is a total disappointment as far as I am cocerned.

I had the opportunity to watch Mrs. Anne on Washington Week and thought the information she provided and her presentation style were superior. More importantly, her interaction with the other discussion members made it easier to understand the subjects being discussed. This is why I looked up her background on your site so I could gain a better understanding of her background and experience that enables her to be so effective. Your information was very helpful.
