- Her parents are June C. Phillip and Carlos W. Phillip. Her father was a psychology program manager for the District of Columbia Public Schools in Washington & her mom is a real estate investor.
- Abby Phillip Harvard Education : In 2006, Abby began attending Harvard University, having been accepted straight out of high school.
- Originally, she began at Harvard intending to complete a pre-med degree to assist her with her goal of becoming a heart surgeon.
- However, a class assignment required her to write a one-off blog about her experiences with a service trip. It was this assignment that made her realize her heart was in journalism, and from there, she transitioned into Harvard’s school of Arts.
- She graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts and a major in Government.
- In May 2018, Abby got married to Marcus Richardson. Marcus is a managing consultant at a mobile app security company & has graduated from Florida State University. The pair had first met in 2011 in Washington at a party.

I just been wondering why I haven’t seen Abby on CNN in the last few days, so I Googled her name again and happened to see all the wonderful comments that are also true, every one of them!
