Wiki Biography / Profile Background
Introduction :
In the summer of 2008, Jodi Arias made national headlines after she was charged with murdering her ex-boyfriend Travis Alexander, a 30-year-old man, who was working as a motivational speaker and insurance salesman.
Personal Life : Parents, Family and Education
- Jodi Ann Arias was born on July 9, 1980, in Salinas, California, to parents Sandra Dee Allen (mother) and William Arias (father).
- First of four children, Jodi moved out at 17, initially living with her boyfriend before she relocated to Southern California and then Arizona.
- Although Jodi has given several mismatching accounts of her trials while growing up, her mother describes her childhood as “normal” and “happy”.
- She attended the Yreka Union High School, although she dropped out in 11th Grade.
- Jodi initially worked series of dead-end jobs before she eventually got a standard job with a company now known as ‘LegalShield’ which paid its “work-from-home” sales force on commission.
Relationship with Alexander :
- Jodi met her ex and now-dead boyfriend, Travis Alexander, in September 2006 at a PPL conference in Las Vegas, Nevada.
- In fact, they became so close that Jodi influenced Alexander to change his Mormon beliefs and on November 26, 2006, he was baptized into the LDS Church in a ceremony.
- After they began dating in February 2007, she moved to Mesa in order to be closer to him. However, she again moved to her grandparents’ house in Yreka, California, in March of the same year.
The Murder & Evidence :
- Alexander died brutally on June 4, 2008, from almost 30 stab wounds, a slit throat & a fatal gunshot to the head.
- His body was discovered in his shower on June 10. During Medical Examiner Kevin Horn’s court testimony, he said that the victim’s jugular vein, carotid artery, and trachea had been gashed and that Alexander also had defensive wounds on his hands. His death was declared a homicide.
- Although initially denying that she had anything to do with Alexander’s murder, incriminating evidence such as a bloody handprint containing both Jodi & Alexander’s DNA was found on the scene.
- A camera was also with photos of both of them together on that day, Alexander standing in the shower, and even Alexander’s bloody body all contradicted her story.
- After giving unusual and contradicting accounts of what actually transpired, Jodi eventually confessed to killing him, although in self-defense. She also claimed that he was pedophilic and abusive.
Jodi Arias Sentence :
- After almost six years of trial, Jodi was convicted of first-degree murder in 2013 after two juries had initially failed to reach a unanimous decision on whether death penalty should be given.
- Currently, she is serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole.
Facts and Trivia :
- Prior to his death, Alexander’s friends who knew Arias claimed they had a negative opinion of her (she had a disturbing behavior) & stated that the relationship was unusually tumultuous.
- They also named Arias as a possible suspect when the 911 dispatcher, after they found Alexander’s body, asked them if they knew anyone with intent to hurt him, stating that Alexander had said Jodi was stalking him, accessing his Facebook account, and slashing his car’s tires after their breakup.
- Jodi’s case was featured on an episode of 48 Hours Mystery: Picture Perfect in 2008, an interview which, for the first time in the show’s history, was used as evidence in a death penalty trial.
- On September 24, 2008, Inside Edition interviewed Arias at the Maricopa County Jail where she stated, “No jury is going to convict me…because I am innocent and you can mark my words on that. No jury is going to convict me.”
- How tall is Jodi Arias Height : 5′5″

Jodi Arias should be considered a feminist icon, warrior and heroine on par with Joan of Arc. Jodi avenged all women who have suffered abuse and exploitation from men. She is a courageous fighter, martyr, feminist icon and role model in the fight against patriarchal oppression.
You’re an immature idiot you need testing for borderline.
Arias did have an accomplice…a female. I think she is dead as mentioned and Jodi wanted all of the credit. This accomplice had an affair with Travis; committed suicide after her own divorce.
The woman friend of Travis committed suicide after her divorce. Rumored she had an affair with Travis. She may have been the accomplice. No one is going to say over the phone they were an accomplice. Get real folks!
Jodi Arias is a dangerous, vile narcissist and likely a sociopath. She gave a bad name to domestic abuse survivors everywhere when she claimed that an innocent man she brutalized was a sexual predator and abused her. Did any of her supporters even watch the case? Even without the footage of her original questioning where she made up lie after lie and even said “I’m not going to change how I act” because she asked how she was supposed to act in order to appear believable in court. Just look at the actual evidence and how it was explained by the prosecution.not only were there no defensive wounds on the assailant in question (if she were body-slammed she would have been hurt physically, but she wasn’t at all), but she said after she shot Travis, and after they allegedly struggled on the ground and he said “I’ll f***ing kill you, b***h, ” that she blacked out and doesn’t remember getting the knife and stabbing him over and over. This is inconsistent with forensics analysis, which proves that due to the lack of bleeding, the gunshot wound was sustained AFTER he was already dead. Also, there were only 62 seconds between the accidentally taken photographs on the camera, the second of which showed Travis lifeless and bloody and Jodi Arias’s pant-leg and shoe with the body…After she left his body slumped in the shower, she changed her hair color from blonde to dark-brown. She also upon changing her story to police never explained why if she killed him in self-defense did she leave a voice-mail on Travis’ phone lying about where she’d been to create an alibi for herself.
My personal opinion? While I agree that Jodi planned to profit from being a murderer from the beginning (and she admits this in her prison letter to her old cellmate that she was hoping to get shown to some publishers, for those who haven’t yet learned of this), I have a gut feeling that she wanted a chance to tear apart the character of a man who was “too perfect” in her eyes…One thing she wrote in e-mails to the guy she went to see after she killed Travis was that “we all have our character flaws.” The thing is, he really didn’t, and she probably felt the need to create one for him and control the narrative of his life, thereby corrupting his uplifting message that we are all capable of succeeding and giving ourselves the credit we deserve basically so that we have that chance to grow in life…One might say he “loved to a fault” by letting her stay in his life so that she wouldn’t kill herself as she’d threatened to…That’s only another strength, one of the many he cultivated in his life. I dated a narcissist who acted much like Jodi Arias and I can promise you that what she did to that man is what’s abusive. She cared so little for the family that she acts like because she’s going to stick with her story about him “having some good qualities but still being a monster” that she doesn’t need to apologize to them for what she’s put them through.
I’m a survivor of pedophilia and I cannot tell you how much it enrages me that she lied about all of this, and I don’t like to make assumptions, so I learned every aspect of this case, and came to the conclusion that Travis Alexander was a good man and not a sick individual like his killer claimed in an attempt to once again get her way by any means. I may be wrong – though I haven’t been so far – I feel like I can look at the eyes of someone and see if they have that kind of darkness within, and Travis just didn’t. He had kindness, maybe some trauma that still needed healing, but not even well-masked depravity (such as with Bundy, and I did definitely see it in his face as well, though I don’t blame those who had no idea about who he was, as so many are taught to live their lives with the notion that we’re meant to avoid learning about pain unless we absolutely have to, either not realizing that self-preservation is a need of its own, or feeling like it wouldn’t make a difference either way except to put them in a bad mood)…Plus there was no indication based on any internet searches or anything at all that he was into taking advantage of children or anyone, for that matter, a compulsion which is so strong I seriously doubt there’d be NOTHING hidden somewhere to confirm that claim if it were true.not that it’s impossible for someone to hide it perfectly, but I do hope and pray that no one is smart enough to avoid detection when acting on those urges. Jodi Arias, however, just LOOKS like she enjoyed the suffering experienced at her hands. When the family was reading their victim impact statements, notice how she holds her hand over her mouth to make it appear as though she’s crying (despite the lack of actual tears), but really it seemed like a desperate attempt to hide how obsessed she was with the feeling of power that gave her to see how far-reaching her actions were. It was a look that appeared to be one of a sick desire to taint every aspect of the life she was never going to be a part of but was surely not a look of remorse.
People who genuinely have dealt with abuse don’t deserve to be grouped in with the likes of this sad excuse for a person. I’m not kidding, I don’t care how much she strokes your ego when you stroke hers. None of it is okay.
this information is inaccurate.
travis alexander was already a Mormon. Jodi converted to HIS religion for HIS sake. She was baptized, not him.
Please correct this mistake!
Religious Sheeples…lol
I don’t forget to cross the damn t
Hey did you get the first message a few min ago
ROT IN HELL you evil
I was watching the Reelzchabnel episode about, ”Jodi Arias:The Friends Speak”, and was taken aback by a comment that Mr Alexander’s mentor had said in regards to a claim of domestic violence defense by a contemplating attorney. He said, ”if Jodi was a victim of domestic violence, where are the other victims?” And it immediately came to my mind that Travis was a victim long before he met Jodi. And with that said the abused sometimes becomes the abuser…, I’m not condoning her actions, but it’ll sure make others contemplate how to treat a woman…, or a man.
It sounds to me as if you ARE condoning her actions. Where are Travis Alexander’s victims? not one parent of an abused child was in court. Her bloody handprints THROUGHOUT the house and on the gun AND knife are NOT signs of self defense. He was stabbed, shot and his throat was slit. There were no self defense marks or wounds on HER body. After taking pictures of his dead body, she left HID home and drove to ANOTHER man’s home and she had sex with HIM. THIS is NOT an innocent “victim”. Jody Arias then drove home and shortly after accepted an invitation to go camping with a group of men, (she being the ONLY female goig) but wanted to bring a gun for her “safety”. NOT the moves of an innocent woman!
You need to recheck your facts before making accusing remarks with seudo innuendo.
Well he was so religious yet he was acting like a pervert. No I don’t think he should have died. He messed with an unstable woman. I’m sick of men talking all this God nonsense then act like this behind closed doors. Practice what you preach or gtfo. His God killed him for sinning.
Lola, I think you have something here. He was a bit of a idiot.
Lola,
Could you elaborate on what you mean by, “acting like this behind closed doors”?
Are you suggesting having sex with a willing partner is an issue? Because he wouldn’t marry her? Or what exactly?
Lola you’re a psycho bitch lmao
You are scary Lola. I find more and more woman with fkd up views these days.
No. God did not kill him for sinning. Travis made bad choices and then continued to make worse and worse choices. He chose to use Jodi any way he could. She allowed it. They both indulged in s*x, in ways most people would avoid. They rationalized various types of s*x with the religious limits and then they experimented and went too far with each other and perhaps both lost respect for themselves and each other. People who love each other would at least get married to be able to be together. But he knew he could never trust her and that he could not truly love her or marry her because he knew he could not respect her or let her mother his children.
This final event (Her murder of Travis) has to do with two people who threw away restraint in their exploration of s*x to the point that it destroyed them. When he was done with her and he wanted a virtuous wife, the sin he had engaged in, still had a hold on him. It is hard to stop when you have been that involved in such compelling behavior.
He did speak to her in ways about the s*x he wanted that were creepy and even cruel. It was not tender, but it was brutal and not loving. He was religious because he learned it, but everyone has a s*x drive and sometimes dark parts of us as humans come out in relation to s*x. He seemed to be expressing anger and hostility through s*x. Maybe even sadism. That’s not love!
I do not understand why the above report lists him as being baptized while I think the accurate story is that she was baptized by him in 2006. I am uncertain, though as I only just have been trying to find any accurate information on the upbringing of Jodi and so far have found almost no information on how she was raised, which is very frustrating. I feel the public deserves the truth about her upbringing.
How was he acting like a pervert? According to his religion, all sins are equal. So, why wasn’t she killed? Why haven’t you been killed? It’s the victim-blaming for me honestly, and you shouldn’t be doing that as he was stabbed 27 times, his throat was slit, and was shot in the head. Unhealthy relationships aren’t easy to get out of, and clearly, you don’t know that considering the comment you just made.
