- Lesley is Jewish. She hails from Long Island, New York and was born on March 8, 1979.
- She is married to Paul Rust, who is an American comedian and writer.
- The couple met at comedian Chelsea Peretti’s birthday party.

- Soon after her graduation, Lesley began an internship with VICE Magazine.
