- The multi-billion-dollar MSG COMPANY owns multiple sports teams. Aside from the Knicks, it also holds the WNBA New York Liberty, the NHL New York Rangers, and the teams of the AHL Hartford Wolf Pack.
- In recent years, Jim Dolan has been criticized for his handling of the teams, particularly the Knicks. He had altercations with some of the team’s best players, and even temporarily banned one from Madison Square Garden. Even though they’ve mostly been losing for the past few years, he actually managed to bring their value up to $3.2 billion dollars for 2016.
