Jeffrey was one of three children born to his parents. He has a sister named Karen and a brother named Stuart.

While in medical school at Hahnemann University, he met his wife, Sandra Lee, and the two instantly hit it off. He explained in a 2019 interview with Refinery29 that he knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Lee the moment he laid eyes on her.
