- She was brought up along with her brother in San Morino, California.
- She was outspoken, loved colourful tight clothing, and was known as a superstar golfer’s brassy blond wife.

Personal Life : Parents, Family and Education
- Debora attended the University of Houston, and it was here that in 1979 she met her husband Fred Couples, who was later to become a world-class golfer.
- In 1981, they married, and Deborah gave up her career as a tennis player to support Fred with his golf career.
- During a tournament in Florida, Deborah was invited to attend a polo match, and it was here that she fell in love with the sport.
- She took up playing polo and even sponsored a team.
- Polo soon became obsessed and no longer willing to keep traveling with her husband to pursue his career. The marriage finally ended in 1992.
- Money troubles followed the divorce as Deborah continued to live the high life. She was often seen at Palm Beaches’ glamourous galas and tried to build her career in polo.
- Shortly after the divorce, Deborah bought a construction and interior design business Libman Wolf. However, she soon lost momentum and focus as her name didn’t bring in the expected sales, and therefore they parted company.

- On that afternoon, she drove to Claremont School of Theology and climbed the maintenance ladder outside of the Kresge Chapel before jumping off the roof.
