Clio Cresswell, Ph.D., is an Australian mathematician and probably one of the world’s most famous women mathematicians. She came into the limelight when she delivered a TED talk, which has received millions of views on YouTube.

  • Clio Cresswell’s parents were total hippies; she called them “sort of wild party animals.”
  • Although Clio Cresswell was born in England, her early childhood was spent on a Greek island St Tropez where her parents moved for the discos.

    In appearance, she reminds me of Debbie Davis, who used to dance in Shotlanta in the late 70s & 80s! I did try to introduce Debbie to some engineering students from Rolla, maybe others made some headway…Clio seems much happier, and smarter than most all of us!
