How did Joanne get the last name Weir?
I just watched Joanne Weir, PBS cooking show on Viennese dinner as part of her river tour. The baked potato casserole featured a square dish with thin-sliced peeled medium-sized potatoes placed vertically on their sides, she poured melted butter over them, baked them slightly burned a few edges & grated a little lemon zest over it. Then fried her breaded Wiener schnitzel in an iron skillet, plated, then made a bowl of iceberg lettuce leaves, dressed with a basic vinaigrette, topped schnitzel with salad saying vinaigrette gave dinner plate a wonderful presentation.
My Comment : Large lettuce leaves on schnitzel top just a messy soggy mess & would not enhance the schnitzel crispness. Very basic cooking not done very well.
With all the chefs that appear on the Food Network, PBS, you have been my favorite for many years. Your verbal delivery of your special dishes is special.
