Anthony Atamanuik is an American actor and comedian, best known for his impersonations of former US President Donald Trump.

- Anthony was born on June 15, 1974.
- Education : He graduated from Emerson College in 1997 with Bachelor’s degree in Film Theory.
- After his graduation, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue his career in TV.

Early Career :
- His first job in LA was working for Jim Henson Interactive, and he still considers Jim to be a mentor.
- After failing to make it big in LA, he moved to New York in 2000.
- He trained and performed with The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre from 2000 to 2002. This led to him being cast in the short movies ‘My Wife,’ ‘The Ghost’ and ‘The Incredible Drunk.’
- From 2005 onwards, he has made appearances on the TV Shows ’30 Rock,’ ‘Broad City’ and ‘Difficult People.’

- Anthony is the creator, writer, and co-lead for the spoof television show “The President Show”
- It premiered on Comedy Central on 27th April 2017 and shows Atamanuik playing Donald Trump. Comedian Peter Grosz appears alongside him as Mike Pence.
- The concept of the show came from a comedic tour that Atamanuik did alongside another comedian James Adomian in the US in 2016, where they appeared to mock the Presidential campaign by appearing as Donald Trump & Bernie Sanders.
- The show caused controversy before its premiere due to its marketing tactics. The created inserted portions of the show into The Daily Show, in a way that was made to look like the Russians, had hacked the network.

- Anthony’s portrayal of Donald Trump was met with criticism from other Trump impersonator, Alec Baldwin.
- The two had previously worked together on ’30 Rock’ and Atamanuik was on record as saying he liked Baldwin and respected him, however, things came to a head when both of them announced they wanted to portray Trump at the 2017 White House Correspondents Dinner.
- The two were lobbying for it after it was announced that former President Trump would not be appearing at the dinner, however, neither of them got the opportunity.
- Baldwin stated that he should play Trump as he was hated the most by Donald Trump, and then allegedly accused Atamanuik of imitating his act.
- Atamanuik shot back on Twitter (now called X) and asked how he had copied the act when he began doing it before Baldwin’s famous Saturday Night Live appearances.
