Mohan Bhagwat is the Sarsanghachalak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) since 21st March 2009. Joining RSS in the year 1975, In the year 2000, Bhagwat raised to the post of RSS General Secretary, the second-highest office in the organization.
Personal Life, Parents and Family Details :
Mohan was born in the Chandrapur district of Maharashtra. His parents were Madhukar Rao Bhagwat (father) and Malatibai Bhagwat (mother). Madhukar Rao was also an RSS secretary. His siblings include 3 brothers and a sister.
He is one of the very few people to have Z+ security in the country. In the recent past, there have been a few controversial statements made by him related to the role of women in society.
