- Paz Vega was born on 2nd January 1976 in the city of Sevilla, Spain. She was given the name of Maria Paz Campos Trigo but adapted the name Paz Vega as her stage name. ‘Trigo’ is her family name while Vega is a nickname she took from her grandmother.
- Her family includes – father was a bullfighter while her mother was generally a housewife. Paz completed her high school studies and was accepted at a stage school to study journalism, where she dropped out after two years to become an actor. She performed averagely in her studies, and because her parents were not that rich, Paz did not enjoy a lavish life as a child.
- She married Orson Salazar, a Venezuelan international in the year 2002. The two have three kids.
