- Education : Pamela completed her schooling in 2010, at the Lawrence North High School. In her senior year, Pamela worked as an anchor for Cat’s Eye, a news channel for Lawrence North High. This was her first experience facing the camera.
- She then attended Ball State University to study meteorology, where she became known as a bit of a daredevil as she was the only girl to join the storm chasing group on campus.
- Later, completing her meteorology studies at Mississippi State University, she went on to receive her National Weather Association Weathercaster Seal of Approval.
- After making the move to Boston for work purposes, she stated that she is thrilled to call Boston home and cannot wait to explore New Hampshire with her husband.
- After settling in Boston, she adopted a dog with her husband that they named ‘Champ Dogg’.

- Initially beginning her career reporting in Indianapolis on Saturday Night TV for WISH-8, in 2014, it was announced that after three years with the network, she would be making the move to a new role with the CBS Affiliate WBZ-4 in Boston.
- Till Dec 2018, she worked with WBZ-4 as a meteorologist, having begun the role in December 2014. Pamela joined NBC10 Boston in December 2018 and started broadcasting on weekdays at noon, 4, and 5 p.m.
- Gardener is known for her complex knowledge of weather events, as well as her sense of humor on air. She has stated that working with this network has allowed her to be closer to her family, who are mostly based in Boston, and as such, she has no plans to leave this role.

- She has said that this program is especially important to her, as growing up in Indianapolis, she was subjected to thunderstorms and tornadoes. Until the age of 8, Pamela was absolutely terrified of them, but it was at that age that her mother encouraged her to research the weather events so that she could understand them better. After arming herself with correct information on what to do in weather events, she found that her fear disappeared.
- According to Gardner, thanks to her mother’s encouragement to research the weather, she knew she would have a career in this industry from a young age.

Pam is most certainly not an only child. She has a sister. I worked with Pamela’s Dad, to whom she was also very close.

Like so many others here, I loved Pamela Gardner’s reporting on WBZ 4 and am obviously deeply disappointed at her departure. I hope and pray she finds an even better meteorological gig somewhere else, maybe even back home in Indiana. I always enjoyed interacting with her on her Twitter page. She has the skill set to be a national meteorologist.

She has always done a superb job forecasting Boston weather. She will be missed. It will take an awesome meteorologist to replace her and I don’t think it will be Sarah.
Pamela Gardner has shown herself to be highly knowledgeable, professional and good natured. She made even bad weather seem better than it was. Her departure from WBZ is truly a loss to her many fans of all ages.

Pamela Gardner is a solid meteorologist, and I miss her. I hope she shows up in the Boston market with a first class station. I don’t think she’d go to Ch 7 or 25. It’s either 5 of 10 or back to Indy.
