- She has got three sisters…two are older, and one is younger than her. Angel also has six nephews, and many great-nephews and great-nieces. On air, she often talks a lot about her younger sisters’ boys, Ben and Alex.
- On November 20, 2015, Angel got married to her husband, Glen Sharbaugh. Her wedding gown was designed by Dennis Basso.
- Is Angel Smedley related to Jeanne Bice? : In the wake of the death of then-Quacker-Factory-ambassador Jeanne Bice, Angel became the ambassador for the Quacker Factory on QVC. However, the two are not biologically related, however, Angel does consider Jeanne to be her mentor.

- Smedley attended Neuman University, which was called Neuman College back then. She majored in Communications Studies.

- Angel started her career path as an Audio/Visual Services Specialist at Philadelphia University, known as Philadelphia Textile School back then. Her work-study boss from Neuman University had offered her this job that Angel found to be interesting.
- Angel got into modeling gigs around the same time she began work with Philadelphia University. In January 1991, her first major career breakthrough came when she started working as a model for QVC. She has been at QVC for well over three decades now.
- Interestingly, Angel was doing double-duty at the university parallel to modeling for QVC.
- The story of how Angel started at QVC is interesting. She met a model at a fashion show, who gave her a contact at QVC. After calling him, just after a short chat, the contact liked her and said, “this is where you will model!”

- Angel Smedley lost her mother in 2003. Angel’s mom taught her to be confident & not care about her plus-size figure. Angel intends to pass this confidence to other plus-size girls.
- During her interview with Nancy Hornback at QVC community blogs on March 13, 2013, Angel disclosed that her A/V position played a key role in prepping her for working future major roles. As a result, she successfully ventured into a fashion stylist, a fit model, and a fashion show coordinator and commentator positions.
- Angel thinks highly of her mentor at QVC, Jeanne Bice. Angel had first met Jeanne at a big party in Florida to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Quacker Factory Show.
- In 2011, Jeanne passed away but left a deep mark on Angel. After Jeanne’s death, Angel found a new respect for the business Jeanne had built. Angel is proud to continue with Jeanne’s legacy, her business, and her honor. She feels honored to be able to continue the sisterhood called Quackers that Jeanne built.
- When Angel won the 2012 Q Star Guest Excellence Award, she felt like getting an Oscar! She couldn’t believe that she was even nominated. Angel feels that winning the award was a huge honor for her especially considering her peers nominated her at Q.
- As evident from her Instagram posts, Angel loves to travel. Her favorite places to travel are Montreal, Chicago, and the Caribbean. After visiting Italy in 1996, she intends to travel there again with her husband, Glen.
- Apart from traveling, Angel also loves scrapbooking and riding motorcycles. Her first motorcycle ride was in 2010 with Glen.
