A nikah formally pledges the couple’s love to one another in front of their near and dear ones. In the days leading up to the wedding, Ball converted to Islam. The imam guided him in reciting the shahada, a Muslim declaration of faith.
The couple now has twin daughters named Zayna and Zarina. The twins were born in June 2021, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. Queso, the couple’s pet dog, a Cavadoodle (a mix between a poodle and Cavalier Kings Charles), chose the girls’ names.
