Nidhi Bisht is an actress mainly known for her roles on TVF (The Viral Fever) shows – Pitchers, Umrika and Permanent Roommates.
Early Life and Childhood :
Nidhi Bisht’s story is a new age story, nothing less than a movie. Besides being an actor but a casting director as well with TVF. She has always been a Bollywood buff since childhood.
Nidhi’s father is a policeman and her mother is a housewife. She also has a younger brother.
Her parents wanted her to have a typical stable kind of job, so she went to study law at Jamia Millia Islamia. She even practised it at Delhi High Court for more than a year before taking law full time, drawing on her strong oratory skills.
Career :
Later, Nidhi did a weekend training program in acting, but it was the theatre that taught her real acting based on natural and basic instincts. Being trained in acting from Barry John’s Imago Academy, her career was only waiting to blossom.
For her, the theatre provided the freedom which her school or college plays didn’t. In theatre, there are no rules as such which one has to follow as it generally urges one to act naturally.
Her collaboration with TVF-an online digital entertainment channel, brought her into the limelight. Especially her role of Ekta Kapoor in one of their shows was well appreciated. After she met with TVF’s CEO Arunabh Kumar (who she met via a common friend) for some projects, she joined them permanently as a creator.
As a casting director for TVF, she was able to bring talented actors like Sumeet Vyas and Abhay Mahajan to the team.
Personal Life :
Nidhi’s love for theatre even turned her into an entrepreneur as she has started her own theatre company called New Brain Theatre Volks. It was her old dream to have her own theatre company where she could nourish aspiring actors.
She faced quite a lot of problems as the theatre is not a sustainable business, but she is tenacious towards her goal of making it so.
