Career :
She hit a jackpot in her first movie itself, Kattumarakaran. This Tamil movie placed her in the limelight and she started getting many offers. Then she appeared in movies such as Aunty No. 1, Khote Sikkey, Nyaydata, Yaara Silly Silly, Dharma Karma, Ready, Asa Mee Ashi Tee, a Marathi movie.
Her career in television is as prolific as her movie career. She first debuted with Waqt Batayega Kaun Apna Kaun Paraya & has also worked in Bade Acche Lagte Hain, Jhansi Ki Rani, Tashane-e-IshqShararat, Sapna Babul Ka Bidaai, Kyonki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi (role of Aarti) & Agnihotra, a Marathi serial etc.
Kyonki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi worked in her favor big time as the show’s popularity and duration made her prominent.
Personal :
She was born on 8th October 1980. Now she lives in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Her personal life has always in public eye for negative reasons. She was once married to Aamir Khan’s step-brother Hyder Ali with whom she had divorce. They have a young daughter, Nanu. Their marriage problems started with Hyder’s unemployment. The frequent ego clashes led to verbal and physical abuse by Hyder.
Even onscreen Eva didn’t get a lot of partners. There was also a rumor going around about her alleged affair with Ram Kapoor during her shooting on Bade Acche Lagte Hain. On asking, she vehemently denied such claims and maintained that they are just friends and even Gautami, Ram Kapoor’s wife is her good friend.
Comeback :
Eva’s comeback to television in 2014 was equally controversial. In Rajan Shahi’s Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya, she was playing Anjali Purohit, the male lead’s mother but Rukhsar soon replaced her.
According to producers, the actress was unwilling to allot dates to them due to her health issues. Eva admitted her health condition was getting worse due to malaria and high blood pressure, but she still worked. But her efforts went in vain, as she got a call of her replacement after 3 days of shooting. Rajan, however, quickly asserted that their equation hadn’t changed with the incident.
Fortunately, she got a new show Tashane-e-Ishq where she played a negative Punjabi mother.

Her take on reality shows is simply no; she is a private person in real life. She thinks the typical traits of serials like heavy make-up, clothes, plastic surgery, and reincarnation needs to be changed. She speaks her mind and doesn’t let outside problems bog her down.
