Wiki Biography / Profile Background
Introduction :
Percy Gibson, a tall man with greying brown hair and a charismatic smile, is a producer in the film industry. He has worked on top-rated shows but is known best as the current (and fifth) husband of Dame Joan Collins, a famous British actress.
Personal Life, Parents and Family Details :
Childhood :
- Percy, born in 1965, grew up in the wealthy district of San Isidro in Lima, Peru. There, he and his mother had an English-style home with a large lawn.
- His aunt, a woman named Doris, founded Caretas, a news publication that would essentially grow to be to Peru’s version of the New York Times. His extended family all worked on her business and grew wealthy through it—excluding his immediate family, however.
- Gibson’s father was unable to work, and his mother supported the trio by teaching history at an all-girls’ school.
- His relatives helped pay for a lot, including Gibson’s home and his education.
Family Life :
- After leaving Peru, Percy often touted himself as a Peruvian aristocrat. He returned when his father died. He clashed with his extended family, who claimed he was ungrateful for the support they had given him.
- He left Peru financially cut off and has had little contact with his family since then.
Relationships and Married Life :
First Marriage :
- Gibson married Cindy, a budding actress in her own right, in 1989.
- Cindy put her acting career on hold to support Gibson’s ambitions, an act she’s since regretted after Gibson called her one afternoon and announced he was ending their relationship to be with Joan Collins.
Joan Collins Percy Gibson Married Life :
- Percy married Joan Collins in 2002. The actress is famous for her multiple roles in film and TV and has been acting since the 1950s.
- Surprisingly, he is 32 years younger than Joan, but both parties claim that age doesn’t matter to them.
- The two currently live together between Collins’s various estates, including homes in London, New York, and Los Angeles.
Education : Qualifications, High School & College Info
- Originally from Lima, Peru, Percy received his education at The Lincoln School, a private university that educates students from nursery school to when they are 18 or 19 years old. Touted as one of the country’s greatest schools, Gibson’s education was largely paid for by extended family.
Job, Profession and Net Worth :
Acting Work :
- Right after graduating, Gibson left Peru to head to the US and find fame.
- He tried to make it as an actor, and while he was doing so, he met his would-be wife Cindy.
- Acting proved to be a difficult field for Gibson to break into, and so instead, he turned to film production.
Production :
- Instead of working on full-scale films, Percy began producing for indie and underground theatre companies, which lined his pockets but did not give him much workable credit in the film world.
- One of his official productions to date is The Time of Their Lives, a 2017 film starring his current wife.

Percy’s mother was my 4th grade teacher at Franklin Delano Roosevelt School (The American School of Lima). As a Board Member of the Alumni Association, I would like to publish a small article about Mrs Gibson. If Percy, reads this please contact me.
I often bump into Percy and Joan in Waitrose in Winton Crescent, Belgravia. Nice couple, they always like one another and are quite down to earth. She reeks of Shalimar perfume and is perfectly made up for the shopping trips. But I was surprised at what she eats. In her trolley, she had Pringles, full-sugar cola, spaghetti hoops, burgers, four types of cheddar cheese, and copious bottles of wine!
Percy’s mother, Bridget Monaghan, was my history teacher when I attended Colegio San Silvestre in Miraflores. (Lima Peru) This is a predominately British school for girls. I remember Percy as a wee lad, dressed like a British school boy being brought by his elderly father to meet his mum at the end of the school day.
He did not go to “the Lincoln school. ” He went to The American School of Lima, Peru (Colegio Roosevelt) where he graduated in 1983 and he was NOT a “Peruvian Aristocrat.”
