- Joanne was born on June 26, 1982, in Brooklyn, New York, and went to school on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, New York, including the private elite high school Dalton.

- Joanne has been married to Adam Driver, also from Brooklyn, since June 2013. They had dated for many years prior to getting married.
