Gill Hinchcliffe is an older woman with short, dirty blonde hair. She has been a worker in the film industry for the majority of her youth and has done everything from work on film crews to working with directors.
She is also the current wife of famed British actor Sir David Jason.

Personal Life : Marriage & Childen

Gill was born in 1960 in the town of Mirfield, located in England.
She was always enamoured by the film industry and began working for whatever production companies would hire her as a teenager.

She met Sir Jason while she was working on the set A Touch of Frost, and the two became taken with each other fairly quickly.
They dated for several years, however, before eventually getting married in November of 2005. After their marriage, the couple started living in Ellesborough, Buckinghamshire.
In February 2001, at the age of 41, Gill gave birth to her only daughter, Sophie Mae Jason. Sophie was born in Stoke Mandeville Hospital, Aylesbury.

Her pregnancy came as a surprise to Sir Jason, who did not expect to become a father at age 61. Nevertheless, he was overjoyed when Sophie Mae was born.
The family continues to live in the UK.

Gill began working in the film industry in 1989 while working on the TV mini series called A Bit of a Do.
Based off of a book series by David Nobbs, the TV series follows the lives of two families as told by their time at different social functions, or a “do,” per episode.

That same year, she became a unit assistant on the TV series Stay Lucky, and in 1991, she worked as a floor assistant on the series The New Statesman.

Director Roles :

While Hinchcliffe never became the primary director for any of the films she worked on, she did become the assistant director for many of them.

In 1990, while continuing to work on Stay Lucky, the series promoted her to third assistant director. She worked in that role for 7 episodes.
She also took some time off of the Stay Lucky set to work as a third assistant director for the TV movie Shoot to Kill, which was about the 1980s Stalker Inquiry in Northern Ireland.
In 1993, Gill worked as the first assistant director of the TV series The Darling Buds o May, and in 1996, she worked on the last project of her career, the TV series Heartbeat. She worked as the first assistant director for one episode.

Management

In 1994, Hinchcliffe worked as a location manager on the TV series A Touch of Frost, which starred her would-be husband Sir David Jason.
She also worked as a unit manager for the TV series Emmerdale in 1995.
