Ingram attended Winsor School in Boston, after which she studied at the University of Idaho, where she received a degree of Interior Architecture.

In 1984, she went on to study Fine Arts and Art History at Vanderbilt University, from which she graduated in 1988.

Marriage and Relationship :

Ingram met her husband, Alton Brown, through her work. Alton is a chef who created and hosts the Food Network series Good Eats. He had hired Elizabeth as a designer to renovate a number of properties he owned, including a loft apartment that became a seven-month-long project.

During this time, in 2017, the pair began seeing each other romantically. Elizabeth mentioned that she didn’t realize how and when the “meetings were turned to dates!” One year after finishing the project, they were engaged.
The couple got married onboard a boat in Charleston, South Carolina, in 2018. After the wedding, the couple spent their honeymoon in Greece.
Currently, she lives with her husband and pet dog ‘Scabigail,’ in Atlanta, Georgia. Scabigail has his own Instagram account with over 45,000 followers – @call_me_scabigail.

Elizabeth started her career in early 1990s working for Portland Antique Company, where she bought and imported containers of antique furniture from England and Europe and oversaw the styling of showrooms.
She then went on to work for Architropolis, as a Senior Interior Designer for two years.

In 2009, Ingram was the stylist designer at Bobo Intriguing Objects, where she worked in both the United States and in Belgium to oversee the showrooms of the company. She also developed their upholstery line, which was manufactured in the US
In 2014, Ingram became the design director at Ford Fry Restaurants, where she directed, managed and executed the complete interior design of four restaurants.
In 2016, she founded her own design studio Elizabeth Ingram Studio, in which she specialized in designing restaurants, bars and residential spaces. Ingram’s studio has designed of a number of Atlanta restaurants’ interiors, including Beetlecat, Marcel, Superica El Tigre, and Golden Eagle.
