- Dara Kravitz is an American film producer. She first began working in the music industry before segueing into a successful career in film and podcast / radio production, mostly in support of the career of her husband, Gilbert Gottfried.

- Dara met Gottfried met when she dropped some food. Gilbert picked up and put on his plate. Charmed by this quirky reaction, they started talking, which led to their first date.
- Because Gilbert has a strong philosophy about not mixing his public and his personal life, he did not mention that he was dating Dara for years.
- However the documentary Gilbert, which came out in November 2017, has broken this harsh line that he drew, bringing his family life out into the public, focusing strongly on his relationship with Kravitz.
- The documentary about Gilbert happened through Dara, as her best friend knew the director Neil Berkeley and got them in touch after he confessed it had been his lifelong dream to make a documentary about him.
- After meeting him, it took Gilbert two years to agree to the documentary being made. After agreeing to the documentary, it took one and a half years of filming to capture all aspects of Gottfried’s life.
