Fun Facts, Height and Trivia :

  • Although the show Mrs. Brown’s Boys itself was a ratings’ success and popular with the audience, it was panned by critics, dubbing it ‘the worst comedy ever made.’
  • The Daily Telegraph wrote ‘it has a rudimentary nature, compiled of a blend of out-dated silly voices and slapstick, played out in front of a live studio audience who start to giggle at the mere mention of the word willy.’
  • Despite the damnation by the critics, Danny seemed un-phased and decided to look at the silver lining in all of this; he commented “I received a message today saying ‘THANK YOU’ because while they were watching the Christmas Special, they heard their autistic child laugh for the first time”.
  • This was not the first time Danny showed kindness to the less fortunate; back in 2016, he was following the story of the Sligo family & their eight month-year-old son that was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. The couple were told their son would never see, walk or talk unless given proper treatment.
  • While the Sligo’s were in the middle of selling their family home in order to pay for their son’s hospital treatment, Danny called them up saying he would give them 30,000 euros for their son’s medical care.
  • Danny saw an operation was due soon, so he spoke to his dad and sister and they all agreed they would pitch in 10,000 euros each.
  • The Sligo’s could not have been happier, ‘He called me up and asked me how would 30,000 euro go for us, and I just burst out crying’, the wife stated.
