- Ashley Kaufmann gained the attention of the media in 2008 when it was rumored, and then later confirmed, that she was the child of Michael Lohan, and therefore, the half-sister of troubled actress Lindsay Lohan.
- Using the exposure from the paternity fiasco, the freckled brunette has since tried to build her career as a pop star and even recorded tracks using the name “Ashley A.”
Family, Married Life and Children :
- Ashley was born on June 30, 1995, to parents – Kristi Horn Kauffman (mother) and Daryl Kauffman (father).
- She was born in Montana, where she spent most of her childhood.
- Ashley’s mom, Kristi, was an ex-beauty pageant contestant & is now a massage therapist.
- In 2008, at the age of 13, it was rumored that Ashley’s biological father was Michael Lohan, a former Wall Street broker. He is also the father of famed actress-singer Lindsay Lohan.
- Michael allegedly had an affair with Kristi while he was still married to Dina Lohan, his first wife.

- In November 2012, when she was 17, Ashley appeared on The Trish Goddard Show on NBC with her mother Kristi & it was confirmed that Michael Lohan was, in fact, her biological father. He also appeared on the show and met Ashley for the first time.
- Ashley went on to have five plastic surgeries in an attempt to better resemble her pop star half-sister. Dr. Franklin Rose, a cosmetic surgeon who lives and works in Houston, did these surgeries.
