Wondering who Sunaina Roshan is? As mentioned earlier, some celebrities prefer the limelight, a lot less than others. Sunaina Roshan is one amongst them.
Sunaina is better known as the elder sister of renowned actor & Bollywood superstar, Hrithik Roshan, popularly known for his roles in hit movies like “Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai” & the “Krissh” series.
Personal Life, Parents and Family Details :
- Sunaina is the elder daughter of parents – Bollywood actor Rakesh & Pinky Roshan. Her brother Hritik (nicknamed Duggu) went on to make a big name for himself in Bollywood after a number of his films.
- Though coming from a filmy background, she has had a varied career path. She has assisted her father in the production of movies like “Krazzy 4” & “Kites.”
- Known to be close to her family, she has even written a book, dedicated to her dad Rakesh Roshan. The brother-sister duo is also quite close & can be seen by their various pictures on social media. Hritik regards her as one of his inspirations for his life.
Married Life and Children :
- Ashish Soni Sunaina Roshan : Sunaina was earlier married to Ashish Soni. She has a daughter Suranika Roshan (born around 1996-97) from this marriage. The marriage lasted close to 8 years & ended in 2000. After her divorce, Suranika intended to stay with her dad Ashish & later went to the USA to pursue her studies.
- Later, she had a broken engagement with Nick Uday Singh, who was a US-based businessman. This too didn’t work out, as reportedly Nick Uday was “too close” to his brother’s wife.
- Mohan Nagar Sunaina Roshan : In 2009, she started dating construction businessman Mohan Nagar & eventually got married in Dec 2009. They had apparently met on a flight journey. The Roshan family was not too pleased with this association. This was Mohan’s second marriage too.
- Her marriage to Mohan also ended in divorce in 2013. She was linked to TV actor Rajeev Paul after this.
Health, Cancer & Weight Issues :
- Sunaina has been a tough nut – She has battled cervical cancer & her life story was chosen as an inspirational one in the magazine Savvy’s ‘I believe’ Collector’s Edition.
- After being detected for Cancer, she underwent chemotherapy immediately. During the process, she lost her long, flowy hair but eventually moved passed the danger zone.
- In September 2017, she posted a photo after her weight loss of close to 50 kg.
- She had started gaining this weight after her grandpa fell sick & her brother Hritik went through a dual tough phase of his brain operation & a divorce.
- Having pushed into a depressive state of mind, she started eating more, leading eventually to some heart problems as well as diabetics & other health issues.
- Dr. Muffazal Lakdawala performed successful bariatric surgery on her & eventually, she was able to shed the weight scale from 140 kg / to 65.
- After her surgery, Sunaina started gymming regularly & focusing on exercise. She even moved back to her parents’ house, where she has one floor to herself.
