- Education : Alankrita Shrivastava went to girl’s boarding school to complete her basic education. She completed her graduation also from a girl’s college.
- Family : Her mother and Bollywood filmmaker, Prakash Jha knew each other well, so she is mistaken for his niece sometimes.
- She is currently based in Mumbai in the State of Maharashtra, India.
- When she was 16, she had imagined she be married with a child before turning 30.

- Unlike many females in Bollywood, Alankrita doesn’t appreciate to wear stilettos. As per her stilettos, they are harmful for our legs.

- Alankrita has assisted director, Prakash Jha in various political films.
- On of the renowned movies for which she was an assistant was Aarakshan (featuring Saif Ali Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone), Gangajal & Rajneeti (featuring Ranbir Kapoor, Nana Patakar and Katarina Kaif).
- Her first movie as a Bollywood director was Turning 30, which received huge appreciation from the industry experts and the audiences.
- She wrote this movie before she turned 30 & depicts most of her and other girls’ experiences on turning 30.
- In 2017, she released Lipstick Under My Burkha starring Konkona Sen Sharma, Ratna Pathak Shah, Plabita Borthakur & Aahana Kumra.
- Lipstick Under My Burkha had a huge tussle with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). As per CBFC the movie was too lady oriented and contained inappropriate scenes.
- The movie finally received clearance for screening after The Film Certification Appellate Tribunal (FCAT) directed the CBFC to provide an ‘A’ certificate to the movie, Lipstick Under My Burkha.
