Melissa Bell is an Australian actress & fashion designer. She is better known for playing the part of Lucy Robinson in the long-running TV series Neighbours.
Personal Life, Relationships, Education and Family :
- Melissa was born on November 7, 1972, in Australia.
- In 1994, Melissa married Jason Redlich. They got divorced in 1996.
- In 1996; she got married to Forrest Redlich, a TV producer. They got divorced in 1998. They have a son called Dylan Redlich. Forrest left Melissa soon after the birth of their son.
- In 2000, she married Gary Dickinson. They have three children, Jonathan Dickinson, Isabella Dickinson, and William Dickinson.
- In 2015, Gary suffered a heart attack (he was 57 years old), which left him in a coma. He almost died and was brought back by the doctors. He finally died in 2016 after spending more than 90 days in the hospital.

- In 1990, Melissa was a part of the TV series E-Street.
- In 1991, she started work in the soap opera Neighbours. She appeared for 175 episodes as the character “Lucy Robinson” for more than 20 years. It was for her role that she became widely known.
- From 1993 to 1998, she appeared in short roles for several TV series like Paradise Beach, G.P. and Water Rats.
- In 1996, she appeared in Home and Away for an episode.
- In 1998, she had a short role in the movie The Venus Factory & in 2012, in the movie Housos vs Authority.

- After her second failed marriage (when Forrest left her) Melissa suffered from depression and body dysmorphic disorder. This is an ailment in which people suffer an obsessive fixation that some aspects of their look are severely flawed & deserve exceptional measures to fix them.
- As a result of her body dysmorphic disorder, she spent nearly AUD 100,000+ on various cosmetic surgeries. Some of her surgeries include breast operations, liposuction and implanted a balloon into her stomach in order to suppress her appetite.
- Melissa had her first plastic surgery when she was just 24 years old, but now she feels comfortable with her body.
- Created a shrine for her late husband Gary in her house in order for her and their children to remember him. She said in an interview that she believed his ghost was still in the house and so she never felt alone. He died in her arms when she was holding him.
