Personal Life, Parents and Family Details :

• Freeman currently lives in the Greater New York City area with her entrepreneur husband of few years, Hakim Sabur.
• Freeman and Sabur first met at a business meeting, where sparks flew so brightly across the room that Sabur’s friend had to take him aside after the meeting and ask him when the wedding was.
• The couple eventually got married on May 3, 2013, in New Jersey, and even had their wedding featured in Essence Magazine.

• After growing up in Baltimore, Maryland, Freeman obtained her Bachelor’s degree from Marymount University, a small, private college founded on the ideas of acceptance and traditional Catholic values.
• She attended the college from 2004 to 2008, majoring in Broadcast Journalism and minoring in public relations, and considers herself a proud member of Marymount’s alumnus.

• After their wedding, Freeman began to focus on projects that were personal to her, the largest of these being her new non-profit organization, 1 Woman 4 All.
• 1 Woman 4 All is a global media company that strives to raise funds and awareness for issues affecting women around the world. This recently-created non-profit plans to fund clinics and educational institutions for women and children throughout Africa and to provide resources and programs for young girls and women in the United States.
• Freeman also runs her own fashion and lifestyle blog, as well as a video blog.

• Freeman began her career right after graduation as a General Assignment Reporter in the Poconos, covering everything from lifestyle pieces to drug busts. Freeman eventually left the Poconos and continued her career by jumping into the world of politics.
• She worked in Washington, D.C. for NBC News and MSNBC, and eventually gained popularity with her work as a field reporter covering the 2008 election.
• Her versatility and understanding of the industry prompted her superiors to give her the option of several different career hats, and she took full advantage of the opportunities.
• During her time with NBC, for example, she edited and produced several online news segments alongside her work as a reporter.

• Continuing her career as a producer, Freeman eventually left D.C. and took a brief position at Dayton, Ohio’s WDTN-TV.

• In October 2014, Freeman began working for News 12 in the Bronx as an anchor and reporter. One year later, her coverage expanded to Connecticut.
