- In 1976, Sue joined the Towson University in Baltimore County, Maryland. From there, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication and Media Studies degree.

- After her graduation, she worked in different organizations, until 1990, when she decided to pursue certification in Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University. She studied at the University till 1995.

- Sue began her career by hosting numerous radio shows for different networks, which included WMAR-FM, WBAL (Mid-day host in Baltimore), WKSZ-FM (co-hosted its morning show).
- In 1986, Sue got her first notable break at WSTW-FM as a Morning Show Radio co-host. Delmarva Broadcasting Corporation owned the channel. She worked there till 1990.
- In the midst of her stint as a radio host, she also joined WMGK-FM – Greater Media in 1988, which she continued till 1992. She was the host of the show ‘Magic After Dark’.
- The same year, i.e., 1988, she also worked as Weather Anchor for WHYY-TV, a PBS affiliate in Philadelphia. There, she continued to work in the same capacity for six years, along with being a feature reporter on the evening newscast.
- After leaving WHYY-TV, Serio went on to work for WIVB-TV, a CBS affiliate in New York, US, as a News Anchor for three years. She served as co-anchor of the network’s top-rated morning show Wake Up.
- In 1997, she made the big switch to WTXF News, a Fox Network affiliate, in the Greater Philadelphia area. Her main job responsibilities were to host the morning show ‘Good Day Philadelphia’ as a weather expert and anchor. Since joining, she has been ever-present on the show (now well over 20 years!). Her fame has multiplied over the years & she is a well-known face in the news circuit.
- For a short while, from the year 2006 to 2009, Sue also worked as a Weather expert on the morning show “BEN FM Philadelphia.”

- Sue is a five-time Emmy-awards nominee. These awards recognize excellence in television and are bestowed by the National Academy of Television Awards and Sciences.
- She had received the Outstanding Individual Achievement Award for weathercasting in November 1994 by the NATAS.

My name is Jack Biondo, we were Facebook pals right after Billy ‘V‘ left. I am in the Fralinger String Band, I joined in 1955, my Son Michael was a member, he developed Dementia at 39 and is now in a nursing home. He is now 56. Our two grandsons, Ryan & Brad Bowen, are members of the band. Brad is the captain of Fralinger now. Your daughter and her friends went on a shopping trip, you called them ‘TWEENS.’
