Sarra Elgan is an anchor & television presenter who is married to rugby star Simon Easterby. She has interviewed many celebrities such as Britney Spears and also presented rugby coverage for S4C, BT Sport and the Rugby World Cup.

- Sarra Elgan Rees was born in 1979 to the famed Welsh rugby star Elgan Rees, and his wife Kathryn Rees.

- In the early 2000s, Sarra met international rugby star Simon Easterby. She was doing a fashion show, where he was modelling for the team. Sarra knew little about him, and all they had was a quick chat. A year later, they met again in Cardiff and started dating. It did not take long for the couple to get married.
- The wedding took place in July 2005, at the St Mary’s Church in Builth Wells. Sarra wore an off-shoulder white wedding dress. Many celebrities like ITV Wales presenter Lucy Owen, former Irish rugby stars Ronan O’Gara, and Dafydd Jones had attended the wedding and the reception.
- In 2007, Sarra gave birth to their first child, a daughter named ‘Soffia’. At the time of Soffia’s birth, Ireland had just beat England in a crucial rugby match. As Sarra went into labour, Simon hurried back to Wales via Bristol airport.
- Soffia’s birth was soon followed by the birth of their son Ffredi in 2009. The Welsh community has praised her for giving her children traditionally spelt names. Fortunately, both the kids also speak Welsh!
- She is a big traveller, both for her work but also for her marriage. Currently, her husband coaches the forward pack for The Irish National Team.

- After acting in local plays throughout her teenage years, Sarra began auditioning for TV roles around the sage of 18.
- Her first acting role was on the Welsh soap opera “Pobol y Cwm”. Her character received a positive response from the show’s fans.
- Working on that show, paved the way for her to make hosting appearances, and since the year 2000, she has made appearances on The Saturday Show, Top of the Pops and Xchange BBC.
- Sarra briefly hosted The Wrap for BBC Wales, before moving on to a more lucrative position with ITV Network that saw her working with shows such as Play The Game, Dial A Date and Pop Factory.
- Due to her father’s background, she has a strong interest in sport and has said she prefers hosting roles in that environment.
- In the past, she has also worked with ESPN, SC4 and Sky Sports.
- Currently, she is working with BT Sports, and is responsible for hosting the rugby segments of their programs.
