- Sangeeta had been the anchor of the South-East version since 2007. In September 2013, the three areas were once again separated with three different five-minute localised versions being shown in different regions during the main content of the one show.
- In 2015, Sangeeta won the “Regional Journalist of The Year” award at The Asian Media Awards held on Thursday, October 29th. This was the third time the awards had taken place, and Sangeeta thanked her parents and the head of news at ITV. She was presented the award by Pendle MP Andrew Stephenson.

Sangeeta is a charming news reader. I admire her very much.
Missing Sangeeta on Meridian news, the best female presenter by far. She needs to be recognised for presenting the news all through the lockdown. Get rid of Amanda Piper, she always wears drab clothes and her hair looks unkempt.
Sangeeta has been absent from ITV Meridian News for some time now (7.2.22). Anyone know why? Hoping she is well and will soon return.

Lovely family. I used to shop at her mother’s shop ‘Sangeeta Fashion’ in the 70s, on Oxford Road Reading.
It’s a pity that she has her microphone so close to her mouth.
