While working in the Papua area in Indonesia for the BBC, Rebecca tweeted a photograph that showed food supplies and criticised aid relief organizations for giving malnutritioned children unhealthy food such as soft drinks, biscuits, and instant noodles.
Her tweet offended the Indonesian military, who later released a press statement stating that she had hurt the feelings of military personnel and soldiers working in the region. She was eventually expelled from Papua for her tweet.
