- Rachel Rosete Acenas was born in 1980 in San Diego, California, where she was also raised. Her parents were both from the Philippines.
- After graduating from high school in San Diego, Rachel attended the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), where she achieved a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication and Media Studies.
