Nidhi Razdan is NDTV’s Senior Editor and News Anchor who anchors the daily news programme ‘Left, Right and Centre’.
Born in a Kashmiri Pandit Family, she has spent some of her childhood days in USA. For her education, she went to the Lady Shri Ram College for Women in Delhi.
She also has a degree in in Radio and TV Journalism from the Indian Institute of Mass Communication. Her father Maharaj Krishan Razdan was also a journalist, which inspired her to take this path from the young age of 21.
She joined NDTV in 1999, and mainly covers Indian politics and foreign affairs. Other shows that she has anchored include –
- The Lead
- India Decides at 9
- Left Right Centre (her signature programme)
Controversies, Interesting Facts and Awards :
She also regularly interviews important National and international political leaders. One of her interviews with the British Member of Parliament Barry Gardiner was particularly controversial. The MP seemed really interested in meeting Modi, but she interrupted him multiple times saying Modi is “controversial”.
Some of her other work includes work in documentaries related to Tibet, Pakistan Occupied Kashmir, Iran post-bombing Britain.
Nidhi is also a recipient of the prestigious Ramnath Goenka award and Teacher’s Achievement Awards in Journalism in 2011.
Height and Weight Her height is around 5 ft 6 inches.
Nidhi Razdan is a Top 5 Anchor in TV News Channels. Her poise, her balanced views, her ability to encourage Panelists to speak without interrupting (unlike the obnoxious Arnab Goswami of Republic TV, and his “Chelas” who he trained, Navika Kumar and Rahul Shishankar of Times Now) are very engaging.

NidHi Razdan is a beauty and a great Journalist. Without her NDTV would be at a loss. I loved BARKHA DUTT as well. Nidhi needs to interview Imran Khan ASAP…
I sometimes feel she is very biased and tries to impose her opinion on the panel…But having said that, that’s what all TV anchors do all the time, they ought to just facilitate the debate in a neutral manner for the audience to decide whether they support or oppose the argument. Also, sometimes she raises non-issues like the one where Tax rebate was removed on Haj travel and she kept on emphasizing on facts that were not even true. We don’t want to know your point of view ma’m, we just need to know the facts. 🙂
It is worth mentioning that this girl was in deep relationship with former J & K CM Omar Abdullah and they wanted to get married.
