- Perez was born in South Florida and grew up in Miami.
- Growing up in Miami, Nicole was surrounded by Latin-American culture daily. She is a proud bilingual (fluent in Spanish & English) and considers South Florida her permanent home.
- Perez has been involved in Broadcast Journalism since she was in grade school. She read the lunch menu announcement to her fellow students at the Everglades K-8 Center.
- The fact that Nicole’s parents grew up watching local news anchors Dwight Lauderdale and Ann Bishop did little to discourage her fascination with journalism.
- After high school, Perez enrolled at Florida International University (FIU) where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Communications. FIU is Miami’s first and only public institution and has a strong emphasis on serving the Miami community, making it a perfect fit for Perez.
- After completing her degree from FIU, Nicole was later, also certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).
- In March 2017, Perez married her boyfriend of 5 years, Roy Ramos, who also works with her at Local 10 News. the Local 10 News team all attended the wedding, and even created a short news segment about it and swapped stories about their dance moves at the reception.

Career, Job, Salary and Net Worth :
- In 2008, Perez got her first job. She worked as a sales associate for the Banana Republic. She kept this job until early 2011; likely this was her job while studying at Florida International University.
- In February 2011, Perez began working at the Biscayne Bay-based news station WSVN Channel 7. She was hired as a graphics operator and assistant supervisor. Her duties included making the weekly schedule, improving graphics used on the station, and working with the post-production staff.
- In 2012, she moved on to a new job. She became the graphics operator on Heat TV, a position she still holds. She mostly designs graphics to be used for Miami Heat home games.
- In 2013, Perez was certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine. She even launched her own personal training business called Nikki Trains You. The business is certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine and caters to clients of all age groups. The company provides its clients with individualized training programs, nutritional support, and the development of personal goals. She did this and worked for Heat TV exclusively until 2016.
- Then, Nicole joined the Local 10 News team, reporting on the traffic and acting as one of the news anchors. She quit doing the traffic report in 2018 but is still one of their main news anchors. In addition, she continues to work both for Heat TV and as a personal trainer.
Interesting Facts, Height and Trivia :
- Unsurprisingly, Perez is a fitness enthusiast and has ran over five half-marathons across the US! She has even participated in bodybuilding competitions and won first place in an NPC Women’s Figure competition.
- Perez and her husband both contracted Covid-19 in July 2020, but they recovered quickly.
- She is also active in her community, and often volunteers at local charities and promotes functions through Local 10 News.

I had just gotten home and turned on the TV. Calvin Hughes was congratulating Nicole Pérez. Is she leaving? I hope not because she is very likable and comes across to the viewers very positively.
I Googled her name but could not find why they were congratulating her and something about her dad getting a huge TV!
