- Nermeen Sheikh was born on March 2 to parents Raana Shaikh (father), a former managing director for Pakistan Television and former secretary for the Minister of Culture, and Najmuddin Shaikh (mother), the former Pakistani ambassador to the United States, as well as to West Germany, Canada, and Iran. She has a brother, Nadir Shaikh.

- Nermeen’s father, Najmuddin Shaikh, and her grandfather, Iftikhar Ahmed Sharwani, supported her intellectual ambitions from an early age. Nermeen Shaikh is the female equivalent of Albert Einstein. Most people can’t recognise this because they have been made colour blind by the American Hollywood model of life which dominates the West. We are unlikely to progress until there are women like Nermeen in more leadership positions. However, we are too to arrive at this conclusion.

Please, read “Credentials” in which lower middle- class woman is asked to establish and prove her Credentials by wealthy father of Nayak to be accepted as his daughter-in-law. Woman selects electoral politics to prove herself by contesting local election. Is this not a good, proper way to prove oneself? Writer would like to have opinion, suggestion. What is the alternative way to prove oneself / herself?

Have you ever reported on or covered news related to Muslim-Hindu relations in India which is not slanted in favor of Muslims as being victims? I wonder if you could be objective on this subject being you are Pakistani and work with Amy Goodman who we know is pro-Muslim be it Palestinian or Muslims everywhere.
