- Naomi Rachel Pescovitz was born and grew up in Central Indiana after her family relocated there when she was just 1.
- Naomi’s father, Mark David Pescovitz, was a professor at the Indiana University School of Medicine where he taught Microbiology, Immunology, and Surgery. He was also a transplant surgeon who was recognized for saving countless lives through organ donation programs. Mark passed away in December 2010 after being in a car accident.
- Ruchim’s mother, Ora Pescovitz, is the University of Michigan’s Medical Affairs Executive VP and the University of Michigan Health System’s CEO. Ora celebrated her 65th birthday in September 2021.
- Naomi has two older siblings, a brother named Ari Samuel who is an architect, and a sister named Aliza Beth who is a lawyer and chef.

- Naomi’s career began in 2008 after she took a job as an on-air intern for KULR 8. The internship lasted 3 months before she left to join WIBW-TV as a general assignment reporter and intern.

- The job led to bigger opportunities with KSTP-TV as an anchor/reporter and WTHR-TV as a sunrise reporter and anchor.
