Molly Elizabeth Sullivan was born on August 27, 1979, in Great Falls, Montana.
She grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada, with her parents, Tom (father) and Debbie (mother), but moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 2012 for a job in the NBA.
On May 7th, 2015, Molly married bookmaker Tommy French in Waikiki, Hawaii – a summer destination spot for her family growing up.

The couple lives in Philadelphia with their young daughter, Isabella. Her parents also moved close to where the couple stays.

Early Life and Education :

Sports have always been a huge part of Molly’s life. Her dad is a former Division I football and basketball official. She credits him for her success as a sideline reporter, as he used to mute the NBA reporters when he felt they were not doing a good job.

Although basketball was in her blood, Molly pursued swimming and found huge success early on.
She was named Nevada Swimmer of the Year in 1996, the Junior National Champion in 1997, was a three-time high school state champion, and was inducted into Nevada’s Swimming Hall of Fame in 1998.
After attending Green Valley High School – where she served as the sports editor for the newspaper – Molly received a swimming scholarship from the University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill. Pursued by several schools, she signed with UNC on the spot when she was taken to a basketball game during her recruiting trip.

At UNC, she was the ACC Champion in the 1650-yard freestyle in her freshman year and a three-time NCAA Championship qualifier. In 2000, she also qualified to try out for the Olympic team.

TV Career, Job, Salary and Net Worth :

Straight out of college, Molly had a string of jobs in Nevada, including as a publicist at a public relations firms specializing in the hotel-casino industry; an assistant news producer; an entertainment show host; and co-author of Las Vegas Little Red Book: A Girl’s Guide to the Perfect Vegas Getaway.

In the meanwhile, she also worked for networks and publications like E! News, E! Entertainment Television, and Life & Style magazine.
After four years in the entertainment industry, Molly returned to her athletic roots in 2007 to work for the MountainWest Sports Network as a sideline reporter. Although she primarily covered college football and basketball, she covered a total of 12 college sports during her time with the network.
In 2012, Sullivan became the sideline reporter for the NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers. After six years in the role, she was let off following the team’s 2018 playoff run. Outraged fans had come to love Molly, who had been there through the team’s torturous rebuilding stage – aka “the process” – and some even started a petition that got more than 900 signatures within weeks.
